Tips for dry transfers

Post by Sci Fi Smoker »

Hey, guys, I'm about to use some dry transfer decals on my Prison Barge. Honestly, I haven't used dry transfers since building the original run AMT Enterprise refit in '80  . I'm using these:

Any tips? Shortcuts? Anyone? :D

Haven't used them in a while myself. They work better on a matte surface though.

IF you can, try lining them up on transparent, low-tack tape. Thenm when they're nice and aligned, apply the tape to the model, burnish them down, and gently remove the tape and carrier. This will keep you from taking hostages and killing people during the process. :)

I hope this helps.
