decal lifting in small area

on my revell uss voyager, one of the larger decals has got a section that hasnt adhered fully. its only about 2mm square and doesnt really notice unless u really look.
any tips on what to do about it?

Did you put a Matte or Gloss coat over it already. If so I think you are SOL. Otherwise you could probably use Micro Sol/Set to fix that

Try brushing some future down where the decal will be, push it down with the brush and brush over it with another light coat of future. If you have to dullcoat again it should be okay.

If I was to spray the model with clear gloss coat, would the model become shiny? If it did how could I get it back to a nice matte / dull colour?

Spray it again with a "dull" coat, and the shinny will go away.

I know that's not what the instructions say, but the kit's wrong anyway.

You can also wet-buff the area then recoat with your dull.
