Hasbro Rogue 2 plastic material?

Post by mjorge »

Hi,
I'm converting the Hasbro Rogue 2 Snowspeeder to a studio scale model. I'm using styrene sheets glued with styrene glue to the plastic of the original model, but sometimes this joint breaks. Is it styrene plastic or vinyl plastic that Hasbro use ?

Well, I've tried CA glue with this plastic and it goes well :D , I made some tests with styrene glue and the result is that the thermal reaction of the plastic is very low so the hasbro plastic have a low % of styrene in its composition.

I agree with "mjorge". CA is the best way.

If the CA gets broken off, try epoxy next time. It'll never come off...
