Google doth not worketh for me lately.

Anyone ever simulate falling rain? i thought initially using thin fishing wire or something similar. any other thoughts?

I seem to recall an old issue of FSM had an article about that. IIRC, the guy used acrylic gel to simulate splashes, and the whole thing was enclosed in one of those clear acrylic display cases. He used a straight edge and a sharp knife to score the inside of the case all the way around from top to bottom; when lit properly and viewed at eye-level, the effect was astounding. That was many years ago and I don't remember the exact issue. Might try searching their website; might run across it.
