I haven't worked with it a lot - I tend to use Doro Doro more often (need to stock up, though...) - but poly putty in general is good stuff for various jobs.

It's a good space filler, especially cheaper varieties like Bondo...
Finer varieties like Mori Mori, Tamiya Poly Putty, etc. are good for different forming techniques - goop-sculpting with templates and refining the shape over multiple applications, surface forming with a negative, etc. Doro Doro in particular is quite runny in the uncured state, and is good for filling small recessions (like sinkholes and similar areas of surface warpage). Compared to Bondo, hobby poly putties apply more smoothly, cure more slowly, and cure harder in small applications.

One thing to be careful of is that the characteristics of the putty, its cure time, and its characteristics after it's cured, all depend a lot on your mixing ratio and how well you mixed the stuff before application. Too much or too little catalyst can cause curing to take a lot longer, and sometimes prevent it from curing to optimal hardness.

Oh, and all of these have really bad fumes, of course. Use ventilation and respirator, wet-sand and be careful of sanding dust.
