Has anyone ever used(Alumilite High Str 2 or 3 RTV Silicone)

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Has anyone ever used(Alumilite High Str 2 or 3 RTV Silicone)

Post by saiyagohan »

Hello I am wondering if anyone has ever used Alumilite High Strength 2 or 3 RTV Silicone ?

I saw this at my local hobby store, and I was thinking of buying some for a project I am doing. I have used the Quick set RTV and the Smooth On rubber(best in my opinion).

But I also like to support my local hobby store too, because I do save money on shipping. And with UPS just going up on their costs to ship things, well I figured I would consider using this.

Here is the links for the RTV I am thinking of getting:

Any help is appreciated,Thanks.
What do the USS Enterprise and toilet paper have in common? They both circle Uranus looking for Klingons.

I've used the high strength 3 stuff. I liked it. Very good durability, though a lot stiffer than their basic rubber.
