Help - Need to make a resin copy of a master

Post by szarchie »

I'm sure this has been covered before but I can't find it. Can anyone recommend or point me in the direction of silicone rubber and resin casting materials. I need to reproduce a part I mastered for a kit. The master is delicate and I want to get a resin copy to continue working on. Its not a big part so I dont want to spend an arm and a leg on materials. Anyone know of any starter kit offers?

Thanks for your help

Cheers

Try the "Resin & RTV: MicroMark, SmoothOn, Polytek or Alumilite?" thread down this page in the fourn.

Try a 'starter kit' from Smoothon. Whoever they are.... There are threads on casting and an article or two on the main site. Go to 'home' and search from there.

Good luck!
