broke down and got some Tamiya

Post by Digger1 »

I ordered some Tamiya Pearl White from my LHS a couple weeks ago. 14 days and $50 later, I finally have some.

I've not worked much with Tamiya sprays so can someone give me some tips on dealing with it? I'm used to Testors' Model Master sprays and what I have dealt with Tamiya, there's been runs and sags in the paint job.

With tamiya you dont have to be as "wet" when you apply it. You can do multiple light coats and get a good smooth finish. It doesnt dry nearly as pebbly as testors. USE IT OUTSIDE! Its mainly a cold Laquer paint and the fumes will get you really lightheaded. A room with the window open wont cut it, Ive gotten light headed from it outside on a breezy day.
