Model Train scales question

Post by MillenniumFalsehood »

I was wondering: what are the 'modeling' scales of model trains? I know that O is about 1/48th, and HO is 1/96, but what are the other scales(ie: N, Z. etc)? I am constructing small buildings and sets for the game Mechwarrior and would like to know what formula to enter into my calculator to find out the size of what I'm intending to build.
