My local libraries have 3D printers, but they only use PLA filament and the heads are 0.4mm. The prints I've seen had noticeable layers.

Is it possible to get prints good enough for scale modeling with this setup?

I'm trying to talk them in to getting at least one 0.2mm head. How much longer does it take to print something with a 0.2mm head? I'm thinking it's probably about eight times longer.

What are good filaments for scale modeling?
