My Favorite Martian Uncle Martin Figure

Post by aussie cylon »

Just wondering if anyone out there has done the Pegasus Kit of My Favorite Martian? The kit itself is very basic, and PE is available, but I'm not too happy about the Uncle Martin figure. He just stands there with his arms folded across his chest.

Granted, it's a wonderful sculpt, and looks exactly like him, but I was thinking about either placing him in the cockpit, seated at the controls, or kneeling down inspecting his damaged craft. (The kit does not show any damage, but mine will  )

Has anyone modified a toy action figure to do this? I was thinking of using an "American Diorama" kneeling mechanic figure, chopping off his head and glueing on Uncle Martins' head on the body. I have not modified any action figures before, so not sure which glue to use, depending on what these figures are made from. I guess google will be my friend here.

As to being seated in the cockpit, the kit figure seems a bit too large to sit comfortably in there.

Any thoughts??

Has anyone done something similar, regardless of which kit, I'd like to know how you've done this and see some pics as well.

And for those of you who have not seen this kit, check out an old youtube video I did a while back:

And since you're there, check out my other videos...(shameless plug  )
