Stickers and Decals

Post by Gerry »

Many of the Polar Lights models are coming with a choice of traditional water decals or stickers. At least the 1/1000 Enterprise TOS and Klingon D7 do.

Has anyone used the stickers on the ships?
Has anyone gotten a good result from them?
Do they last?

I've only used LOGO sticker on the bases of the models.
I'm sure it's easier to get a kid interested in modeling with easy stickers.

I'm just wondering what you Pro guys have done with them. I always learn something new when I ask a stupid question. Often the tread goes way off target and I learn something I hadn't expected.

The stickers are in there to make the kit easier for young kids who don't have the patience or ability to deal with formal decals. In scale, using the stickers would make the hull markings almost two feet thick.
