Colour Difference, Whites?

Post by drk75 »

Hi,
Biulding a Fine Molds model kit says (I think) flat white for fuselage) alot of people are saying Floquil Reefer White is there a difference in the two is it huge? Find it near impossible to fine the Floquil colour in Australia.
I would like this kit to come out looking pretty good, 1st sci fi model.

Thanks heaps

Use what looks best to you, if you don't like it you can always strip it with EZ Off.

This thread details the stripping procedure well if it comes to that http://www.starshipmodeler.net/talk/vie ... hp?t=34182

Floquil Reefer White is just a pure flat white, a lot of us like it because the pigments are very dense but fine, so it covers well but doesn't hide details.

To be honest, my favourite flat white is Tamiya's rattlecan Fine White Primer. A couple of nice coats of it and you're done for a flat base.
