That's what I'm thinking too. Iron Modeler ends at 10pm-ish. Maybe we can just keep the room until midnight.

That sounds reasonable, I just get in the way during IM.
Any one interested could bring scrap/greeblies to contribute and if enough other folks want to do the same the festivities could go on longer, post IM. |

Each team brings parts and instead of dumping them on a table, Team 1 gives their box to Team 2, Team 2 to Team 3, etc.
And you can only use the parts in the box along with the 'mystery ingredient' kit. |
The problem with that is that some teams flew instead of driving and brought very little, if any, stuff. That's OK with me, as we've got to be practical here, but it would make a box exchange unfair. |

| Does anyone have any comments or suggestions? It would suck if what used to be a fun event at the pool party (parts dump/grab) never happened again. |

Perhaps an informal, but scheduled Post Iron Modeler Parts Scavenge & Haggle Occasions. Otherwise known as PIMPS & HOs
It would be an easy and effective merging of the traditions.

Call it Rumpelstiltskin if you want.
It would be nice if everyone had a chance to grab some potentialy usefull parts, not just IM participants.

Absolutely!
Although if you're going to be there, you could be one of our "celebrity judges" instead. Your choice. Both are fun, or so I've been told. Frank Winspur from Moebius wants to judge again too. And I'm going to try to get Peter Jurasik as well.

Hmmm... Intriguing possibilities. I really want to participate somehow. I'll need to wait until we get a little closer. Many factors to consider. If you need a definite answer for judging by a certain date, let me know. |

Last year, I got the judges a few hours before the competition, so advanced notice is not needed. _________________ Is this plastic thingy on the counter a model part or can I throw it away? |

I'd be willing to make a small wager that John Eaves will be willing to judge again this year. I have it on good confidence that he had a great time last year. _________________ Pat A.

Actually, I'd love to see a team made up of Frank Winspur, Phantom Stranger and John Eaves. That would be fun!

If they are the competition, might as well stay home!! John Eaves could probably make a film-worthy model with a couple of stir sticks and a cocktail napkin. _________________ Airdave

I'm not sure that he's on the "official" guest list yet but I seem to remember him mentioning (in his blog, I think) that he's attending again. _________________ Pat A.

John Eaves told me last year that he likes going to the Sat Night movie, so he'll probably just judge again anyway. _________________ Is this plastic thingy on the counter a model part or can I throw it away? |

Well, my buddy and I are chomping at the bit to participate again. It was our first time last year and we had an absolute BLAST. I'll be checking back in regularly to see when we can sign up. Heck, I'd just like to go ahead and sign up NOW. No way are we missing Wonderfest. |

I admire and respect him alot! But we have had chances to stand around and just talk models... and he confessed it'd been years since he'd had the time to build any. So, if he is there, and participates, he might be rusty
And also, never forget:
