Lighthouse lamp effect?

Post by big-dog »

Greenleaf dollhouses just released 2 lighthouse kits, 1/2" scale and 1" scale. Check them out, some of you might like them. These are laser cut wood kits, very nice. It would be very hard to install an actual rotating light in the kit. I thought of a ramping circuit to simulate the rotating lamp.

I generally don't electrify things, what would you guys suggest? The kit is 1/8" birch plywood, very nice proportions.

Think dollhouses are girly? build one and return and say that. :D

Got a link for Greenleaf??

A lighthouse has been on my "wish" list for awhile now. Was looking at a complete scratch. But if there is a kit...

So, when they say 1/2" and 1", they mean 1/24, and 1/12 scale??

I know that's not what the instructions say, but the kit's wrong anyway.

VooDooFX has a lighthouse kit as well.

I found a blog

1" scale is 1/12 or 1 inch = 12 inches and 1/2" scale is 1:24, i.e. 1/2 in = 1 foot. Same reason why 1/48 is aso called 1/4 in scale, because 1/4 in = 1 foot.

For slow pulsing lights, generated using the ramp up effect, try this:

I have some FX shots if you need some.
