my son's first ever kitbash - and it's a hovertank!

The challenge: build any kind of hover tank without using a tank kit's hull or turret - because nothing saus 'fun' like 70 tons of floating mayhem.

Some of you met my kids at crewe. My youngest, Darin, was totally inspired and wanted to do a kitbash. I let him loose in my bits boxes, which kept him quiet for hours! (a rarity) and he emerged with a handful of pieces.

Here is the result. the HOUND

I should point out I have helped him in thee places.

1. Cutting the plasticard with the scalpel though he marked everything out himself.

2. I sprayed the model for him in grey.

3. helping him with a tricky scorpion decal.

And that's it. everything else he did himself, with little or no supervision.

I think he done pretty good for a nine year old! ... 675090.jpg ... 091149.jpg ... 389619.jpg ... 782310.jpg

Very cool indeed!
