LtPz Panther

The challenge: build any kind of hover tank without using a tank kit's hull or turret - because nothing saus 'fun' like 70 tons of floating mayhem.

LtPz Panther

The "LtPz" is for LuftPanzer ( air armor ) I picked up an old Fujimi Jagdpanther at a show in September and started doing this:

Since then, it's gotten as a far as the base coat. I figure on doing it in mid-war splinter.

If I hadn't been able to tell by the Fujimi, the hex base shows it to be 1/72 or 1/76 model: I forget what Fujimi billed theirs as.
Hmm, will have to look up about the contest, haven't looked at any of the contests for ages.

It's 1/76 as I recall - I'd have to double check the box. It was a great series - I want to say the molds were originally Nittos, but my memory is getting fuzzy. I'm not sure why Artic elected to jump in down here, but I'm glad he did.

Probably won't get back to it for a week - the Mrs. and I are on the road tomorrow for the holiday.

Before the barrel got put on, the one image with the wings looked like a star warsy vehicle.

Nice progress.
