Source for simple lighting

Post by interstellarmodeler »

Hey guys. Call it a trend if you will but there seems to be more and more interest with lighting models. Rightly so since LEDs have made it much easier. If you're like me however, and are just getting started with lighting or just don't have a ton of expertise, I came across this one site that sells small lighting kits and are very easy to use. This is basically a model train site but they of course can work for scale models. If you just want a few 3V or 9V LEDs to light up a kit, nothing fancy, check this guy out. I recently lit my Forbidden Planet Cruiser kit with a set of the 3V and coin sized battery switch kit and it worked perfectly. Here's the link:

Worth checking into if you want something very simple with no soldering. BTW I have no financial interest or relationship with this site other than having recently ordered some items.
