LED lights

Post by AshliMeley »

Now that we are on solar alone I have to get really serious about how much power we use. I hate the curly bulbs and even though they use a lot less that the old incandescent they just do not fit my needs. I have been waiting for LED technology to advance and prices to drop but I finally made the plunge. Bought a 850 lumen LED rated at 3000 on the warm scale. I love it. Light up the whole room better that a 60 W curly and the light is warm and comfortable. At an average use of three hours a day it is supposed to use 13.5 W over it's 25,000 of life.

Next trip to Costco I will shell out the fifteen bucks and get another. Our two room cabin only has room for two bulbs.
