LED Side Mirrors

Post by ErnestTeel »

Hi All

Need some advice.

Currently, the side mirrors on my ride are the normal non-LED type that auto closes when the car is locked.

And the LED side mirror I am interested to buy is the non-auto foldable type.

So Im thinkin can i just change the cover with the LED one and wire it up so it will light up when the signals are on?

Im a putz with electrical wiring stuff so if its not too complicated I may give it a try. rofl.

Thanks!

Check power and amperage ratings on the LEDs you want to use, add the requisite resistors, weather-seal the wiring and you'll be OK. You might find some existing replacement bulbs, though, which will work well.
