can future be "spot removed" for cementing purpos

I have dipped my clear parts in future and now need contact points for the glue. Can future be removed from just the edges so the part can be glued into place or will the ammonia/ windex attack the entire futured application ? :shock:

A Q-tip/cotton bud dipped in ammonia will take it right off!
