Future's great, I shot straight from the bottle. cheap as chips. Great as a barrier between coats, especially when weathering.

can future be applied without an airbrush ? and if so, what method is the best ?

Sure it can. I use cotton swabs frequently. The little foam swabs are probably better, but can hold too much, and lead to pools.

Clear bits can be dipped in Future, as can wood or foam to make an acrylic shell. Just wick away the excess with some paper as it drips off.

does the future bottle have a spray nozzle on it by chance ? if you use a large hobby paint brush does it leave brush marks ?

If it did, it would be more suited for spraying on floors. You can use a brush, but I find the bristles tend to make little foamy bubbles. Your best bet is to use a bit of foam on the end of a brush, ,or a cotton swab. Thin layers is your key here, don't try to slather the stuff on very thickly.

I'm not certian this is a great way to turn flat paints to a glossy coat, but it will make a good glossy layer over gloss paints suitable for decal application. It's also a good way to provide that sealing layer over your decals.

i will be applying it over metallic silver on the ufo and polar lights jupiter 2 hmm, i wonder if transferring the future into a clean empty spray bottle {windex] will work to spray it onto the model ?

If you put any sort of gloss over a metallic, it will dull it down a bit.

Just warning you--although the Future will protect it quite nicely, some metallics don't need it.

i have a huge 24" jupiter 2 in metallic silver and the kit is vaccuform, and handling it it gets fingerprints or little smudges and they stand out, something like future would probably prevent those and little scratches in the paint to i hope

Hey kids, don't forget that Future can be used for just about everthing. It works wonders for making clear parts like canopies and view ports look prefect after dipping them. You have to sand them with progressivly finer and finer grades of sanding paper but thats how it goes. If you need any more help with the clear parts and Future, just ask.
