Painting Dragon's 1/24 Iron Man figures

Post by Reichardt, KoG »

I haven't built figures much, since the Aurora Gill Man days... My styrene Ben Grimm still inhabits his box, but, has been washed of mold release...

I have the Mk 35 Iron Man 3 armor. It's molded in light grey styrene body halves, and a...polyvinyl (?)
for the legs and arms.

Will my beloved Vallejo or Testor's acrylic paint work on the legs and arms?

Any primer needed? Any particular brand of primer? It is only a 3" tall figure; looked cool in the box at the store...! And seemed like a fun build of some weird armor; then

Awww, vinyl strangeness (maybe), again?!! I will be OK it only cost $12...

Tia, Y'all!

I recently did one of these 1/24 scale Iron Man figures and I had no trouble using Vallejo primer on the vinyl pieces.

Here is my build log at The Clubhouse showing my process:

Overall, these little figures are fun to build and a great bargain.
