Which is best for painting starships...acrylic or enamel?

Are you speaking in terms of actual starships (i.e. the type that *really* travels around space) or those of the representation in miniature that sits on your desk or bookshelf, or hang from ceiling? :wink:

What materials are you using in the construction? This would likely be one of the determining factors to choose particular finishing medium.

Define "best".

Acrylics are easier to clean-up, have much lower VOCs, dry faster & can handle an oil wash w/o a clear coat.

Enamels have a tougher finish, dry slower, go on smoother.
