2 year old Acreation decals

Post by Matty1973 »

Hi All,

i have a set of Acreations NX01 1/350 decals i bought 2 years ago, they have been kept flat and have stayed in the original packaging in a dark environment.

i am about a week away from using them and wonder if there is anything i should do to them prior to application.

thanks in advance

I seem to recall someone posting a month or two ago that you need to apply a coat to acreation decals before using them.

It's usually a good idea to take a small decal from the sheet, such as part of the manufacturer's identification or item number, and test that piece to see what kinds of problems you might have. You can adjust your application method to overcome any deficiencies in the decal sheet.

Agreed, a test is always best.

I've used lots of his decals, and haven't had to coat them, although doing so could make them more resistant to scratches while handling them.
