Getting a Badger 180-1. Still a good compressor?

Post by ulvdemon »

I am about to get Badger 180-1(with the blue case). Is anyone still using this compressor? Any issues using it with a different brand airbrush such as a Paasche?

I bought mine in 1982 and it is still perfect! It is nosier than modern compressors but it will last a lifetime. It has 0 maintnece and over the years you just need to dust occassionally. I thnk the only thing I did was clip an inch off an air hase when it frayed about 10 years ago. I could will it to the next generation and it may never need to be replaced. Over thirty years the cost is incredibly low

Looks like this is what I will be getting. Hopefully its not too loud to use in the basement and not wake up the little one on the second floor.

Got it. It's a good starter compressor.

Had mine since 1996. I put a manifold and regulator on it. Runs like a top.
