Epoxy Not Curing...

Post by Darkowski »

I'm building the AMT 'E', and I'm using 2-part epoxy to cement all the DLM parts.

It says to mix it 50/50 - what I did.
The epoxy never completely cured.

So I cleaned the parts from the epoxy and tried mixing more hardener this time, and it still doesn't cure.

I even tried adding some hardener for car putty on top of the curing epoxy with no effect.

I'm using Lepage regular epoxy and hardener in tubes. It says that it sets in 60 minutes :P
It's similar to this product, but the tubes are green:

Is the epoxy just bad? Is anyone familiar with this problem?

Is there a way of hardening that thing or should I clean the parts again and get some other brand?

Thanks!

Sounds like its bad. More hardener will work most times. Clean it up and get another brand and test on cardboard first.
