Fastest Drying Glues:

Post by Valiant »

Hey Guys, need a tip here....

I have some surface-mount LED's that I'm trying to use and I need to glue them into place... problem is, gluing them into place and making sure they don't shift one bit. What would be a good glue to help? Ideally I'd like something virtually instant.

Thanks,

Thin CA with a kicker, doesn't get much faster.

BUT... there is a price to pay for speed and that's heat. Given LEDs dislike of same I'd do a test before trying it out for real.

You could tack them in place with a bit of CA then back them with epoxy for strength.

Wug has the best solution. Be careful not to load them with too much epoxy, though, you don't want them to overheat.
