Greeblies: Where there's a will there's a greeblie?

Got a question about techniques, materials or other aspects of physically building a model? This is the place to ask.

Greeblies: Where there's a will there's a greeblie?

Post by Go4Fun »

I have found few mentions of greeblie sources here. Armor, aircraft and naval models are good. I also seem to look at some auto & truck models and see things that might be interesting as a source of greeblies. I love the "Dollar" stores, as toys, electronics and other things there show promise. And they are only a buck!
Does anyone else have suggestions for sources beside Radio Shack and the like?

If you scroll down to the first video - at the 40min mark a special effects guy starts talking about the kits they used to detail up the alien ships.

when everything went cgi - i'm sure the model kit companies noticed a massive drop in sales. I remember seeing warehouses full of kits for greebles in numerous special effect documentaries throughout the years.
