Photo etching help

Post by KLINGONSNIPER617 »

I have a brother laser printer, but I haven't been able to print onto anything thicker then .003 brass sheets. What is the best laser printer to print on thicker brass?

Thanks

I do quite a lot of home photoetching but I do not use the toner transfer technique, nor have I ever tried printing directly to brass. I would think the fuser unit in the laser printer would have to be very robust to handle anything more that the thinnest brass sheet. In all the reading I have done over the years, this is the first time I've come across printing directly to the brass sheet, so I suppose I really have nothing to offer. Are you familiar with the toner transfer technique using a hot iron to move toner from paper to brass?
