Looking for medium size plastic tubing

Post by jkiker »

Hi all,

More specifically, I am looking for 1-1/4" OD rigid plastic tubing, and if possible it should nest over 1" tubing. Both should be relatively thin walled, say around 1/16" thick. Styrene would be best, acrylic or PVC might do. I need a few pieces of each around 16" long (or more).

Plastruct and Evergreen do not make what I want so far as I can tell; Plastruct does make butyrate tubing but I'm not sure how compatible it would be with plastics.

I've searched around the internet and generally found either the wrong sizes or the right sizes made of medical grade materials with a high cost attached. Home improvement stores seem to stock only a very few sizes to match standard plumbing.

Can anyone give me a "point" to plastic in these sizes?

Thanks in advance, Jim

Hey Kylwell,

After looking around for the tubing locally, I went back to the US Plastics site and eventually found what I was looking for, including my desire for some relatively thin-walled stuff for the main body.

So while this is a belated Thank You, I did want you to know you were a big help!
