3-D printed model kit

Post by Andrew Gorman »

An interesting thread (that I have not read all of) on building a 3-d printed kit of the WWII Woomera bomber. If it's the wave of the future, it's best to be prepared. According to modelingmadness, the kit is available for purchase.

Bit of a strong dihedral on the tailplane... You should see some of the work Chuck Doan does. Dude is a master of engineering 3D parts.

Do you have any examples? (Preferred links, etc)
I can find plenty of his weathered models, but not 3D printed stuff...

He mostly posts info on that on Facebook. He's got some on his fotki site but you'll have to wander the albums to find them. http://public.fotki.com/chuckdoan/model_projects/

I first ran across him in a Scale Railroad in Review a few years back doing an article on 3D printing.
