I've been on model forums (I think FineScale does it), where some sigs are compilations of logos for all their favorite organizations, pictures of their favorite models, their wives and dogs, plus five lines of favorite movie quotes. So each post has a photo collage under it that covers half a screen. Let's NOT do that here, 'kay?
Resin Illuminati has avatars that fill half the screen- I rarely go there these days because it is hard to find any posts between those billboards....

I think it would be great to be able to have images displayed in the posts- very often I try to follow broken links, or worse- links to Photobucket...

Any URL with photobucket I pass over and ignore. Might be an amazing build - still not worth my time and effort to deal with photobucket. I'll never know.

Would it be too much to let us know when the upgrades have been completed??

Given the number of members here, probably about the only way John could let people know if the upgrades are done would be to post something in the forums. So . . . if you can get into the forums to read that the upgrades have been done, then . . . .

Just sayin'.

Actually what I was thinking was he could post something on the home page latest updates section.

Indexes are being rebuilt...that's going to take some time. Ignore that kind of stuff for now...It's the hard errors I'm concerned about.

Thanks,

So is no one going to thank Dan, er Jonas Calhoun for his tireless work updating this forum? He slaved over a steaming hot keyboard, grind code upon code to index this place. With finger bleeding he typed in the last command to make this forum available to us all again and non body, not one of you, are going to thank him?

Thanks Rob. I even started this on Mother's Day! Banged out the 1's and 0's with rocks all by myself! And I have the blisters to prove it!

(Seriously, I did this like 5 times in the lab, nothing broke--smooth sailing--had it down to a few hours. Then faced with reality and bytes went flying everywhere.)

After looking around I am missing two things, the link to the homepage and the link to the store: forgotten, later, or gone forever?

I like the new look. We need to have the Starship Modeler logo up at the top instead of the "phpBB" logo. Something cool like the AllScaleTrek forum has.

Much appreciation to those who made this all happen.
The new interface looks great. Haven't looked around yet, just wowed by all the "SHINY!" and came here to gush and say thanks!
