I don't have a lot of "speck of dust" detailing parts. :P

Commander Burnham: Fortunately for you, I was raised on Vulcan. We don't do funny.
Captain Pike: Ha! (ouch)

Big ol' box arrived yesterday from POS2!
Looking good and there's a ton of spare bits in the box. Thanks! I'll see what I can do with it over the next week or so.

So . . . . . progress?

Just wondering when the box is gonna be heading my way, so I can spend some time in advance going through parts drawers/boxes.

Yup. I've been adding some bits to the back end of the ship. Been a bit slow as shoveling snow and chipping at ice dams seems to be most of what I've been doing since last week!

I'll post some pix and get it off next week. You can PM me your address in the mean time.

Hey, I need to be put into the rotation somewhere. There's a couple of people in my general area, so whatever makes the most sense, or cost the least in postage...
I think we can accommodate - anyone mind if Prince of Styrene sends it to Ignatz, and then he can send it on to Gundamhead in ME and the schedule will resume ... Anyone mind?

Proposed rotation, unless anyone wants it changed:
1. Scotaidh in RI starts the model, and sends it to Prince of Styrene in MA
2. Prince of Styrene in MA sends it to Gundamhead in ME
3. Gundamhead in ME sends it to Lonewolf in MI
4. Lonewolf in MI sends it to Scotaidh in RI
5.Scotaidh in RI sends it to Prince of Styrene in MA
6. Prince of Styrene in MA sends it to Gundamhead in ME
7. Gundamhead in ME sends it to Lonewolf in MI
8. Lonewolf in MI finishes the model and arranges for the model to show up at WF.
That's right. I forgot he was in the rotation after Prince of Styrene II. So I'm fifth on the list instead of fourth. Got it!

So, should I figure on receiving it . . . end of this month, or beginning of next? And are we only doing one rotation?

We're under the 90-day mark until WonderFest. If Gundamhead has it for a couple weeks, then allowing shipping time to me, plus a couple weeks, that puts us into April, around Easter. WF starts May 30. With shipping time between, I don't think that's enough time for each of us to have another crack at the build, unless we only allowed one week per person. With shipping time between, it'd be really right to get it done and shipped to be at WF.

Which brings up the final issue. How are we getting this thing to Louisville? I won't be attending this year, and I was originally slated to make shipping arrangements. I can still send it out to the CoMMiES, would could probably bring it to the show. But I don't know who would be able to show up and set it up, arrange for the entry form, etc.

I thought we were doing just once around the mulberry bush, to make sure we're all done by WF.

I'm not going to WF this year; I doubt Price of Styrene is, either. Would the COMMIEs be willing to take Lake Effect and do the set-up and all? I know it's a lot to ask.

Unfortunately, the only COMMIE I know is Keptin Barnes, and I'm pretty sure she's not going either ...

Would that make Ken "Cydonia" Darden part of the Black Sea Division. I think he's the southern-most CoMMiES Member, being in Louisiana.

Southern most member north of the equator. I think Steve Wheel takes the record for southern most member.

That's what I get for missing the monthly New Member Interrogation . . . I mean New Member Indoctrination meetings. I can't keep track of the member list! :P

Yea, WF is a no go for me this year. Still in the new job with only 2 weeks vacay that I'm saving for trips back home to visit family. Plus I have a new partnership this year with a friend to help her sell stuff at cons, so any extra days I might of had are out the door because of that.

It seems we are DIW ... dead in the water.

Do we have time for me to start another one?

Do we want to start another one, and this time skip Ignatz, since he seems to have fallen off the planet?

Sure why not? If Ignatz comes around and is OK, we can always have it as the bonus kit! :8) Just do weekly visits like originally planned.

Works for me. Sucks the original model (and next builder in the rotation) have gone missing. Ignatz's last post that I can see here on this thread was February 4. I checked my Outbox , and the PM I sent on February 28th with my mailing address is still unread. I hope he's okay.

Do you think we can pull something together in short order? I'm fine with being Tail End Charlie, and getting the finished kit to the CoMMiES for display at WonderFest.
