Make-N-Take Volunteers needed!

Post by rossjr » Fri Mar 11, 2016 2:18 pm

Yep, it's that time of the year again. The snow is melting, and soon the tree's will be sprouting leaves, the flowers will be in bloom and WonderFest will be in full tilt. In addition to the seminars, contests and of course the dealer rooms we also have the Make-N-Take (MNT).

For those that are not familiar with MNT, this is our gateway drug. We provide a kit and a little assistance so young modelers get exposed to the hobby, get the chance to build something and even take it home with them. This runs both Saturday and Sunday and while Starship Modeler sponsors the event, we still need volunteers to help man (or woman) the event. This is a very rewarding way to give back to the hobby and help someone learn the hobby we've all fallen in love with. If you're going to WF and you can spare an hour or two, please consider volunteering to work the MNT. You won't be disappointed!

Even for just an hour or two, Make and Take can make your day. Sound cheesy? It's not. It is really fun to work with the kids and their parents.

Come join us, send John or me a message and let's get some volunteers.

I'm up to work as a volunteer. I've always enjoyed it the several years I've done it. I'm doing a demo, but that's my only time constraint.

Sign me up and tell me what time you need me!
Had I known I would live this long, I would have taken better care of my car.
