Ha I was wondering if anyone is floating in this area... Yeah, I might do that...good idea. I could do BOTH Interceptor versions, too...hmm... But obviously today is out. We're going out of town this weekend so I've been running around trying to get ready. Next Friday is also out because I will be l...

My (Someday) One-day Build

Ok...I think I'm about ready. Most other projects have enough momentum that I can get something done at the end of this week...Kind of "my sorry ass can't get to WF" build. So a couple of things I'm considering: NOT lighting it, using a build I know isn't that complex and won't require put...

Strap it down tight to something like a board and try leaving it in the sun for a few hours. That might soften it up enough to conform to a FLAT surface. Then let it cool before unstrapping it. You could also hit it with a hair dryer on HOT if you have one...

Hey guys, I picked this compressor up recently http://www.modelexpo-online.com/product.asp?ITEMNO=AS186 Its really nice and quiet, too. Except I can't get the valve to hold/stop at any given pressure. It will stay steady NEAR a pressure but the engine wont shut off at that point, which its supposed ...

Aztek adaptors?

So I have an Aztek airbrush for the time being...I'd like to sell it because it's a little overkill for me...BUT I have an air hose that's incompatible with the brush's connector. Does anyone know of adapters that go from Aztek to 1/4"?

Three questions: 1. Only sci-fi models or anything goes? Anything goes. 2. Why not vote in a poll on the thread? Because then we can't close the polls when voting time is over. But perhaps we will consider this option for the future. 3. Can you vote for yourself, or do you discount those?[/list] We...

Since I'm making 8 individual ships do I get 8 days? :?: as long as you get ONE DONE PER DAY, not 8 done the last day... BTW, questions and discussions should be asked in THE NEW SECTION from now on. i'll ask a mod to move this thread over there so it can serve as a general discussion thread.

See Rich's Guidelines below for the contest-version of this challenge . For the NON-CONTEST ENTRIES: Build Rule/Guidelines 1. Most importantly, the build must be started and completed in the course of 24 hours. 2. The build can be anything you challenge yourself with: OOB, scratchbuild, kitbash, di...

If there's enough interest in May, why not repeat it? If there's a special topic section (called something like "Show Us Your One-Day Build"), there could be a poll for the best one-day build at the end of the month, every month, for as long as there's interest and someone wants to post t...

Do we all have to do this on the same day, or are we fitting in the building where we can on an individual basis? I'm thinking it would be too complicated to orchestrate a single day for all. Fridays are generally my good days. It would seem that maybe we just say "Any day in May". If 1-0...

Group Build Idea?

So I was thinking about what could be a neat group build idea: The One Day Build. The build would first and foremost have to happen in one day, obviously, start to finish. It would also be within a date range, since not all of us have the same day off, if any at all. Can be ANYTHING you challenge yo...
