Darkening Azure Blue, some suggestions needed!
Hello Group I real quick question for the "not" paint mixing challenged out there. I want to use Polly-Scale British Azure-Blue (F (I wish it was SG)) for a kit I'm about to build. The problem is that as it stands the "blue" is a tad lighter then I really want it to be. What shou...

Hello Folks! :D Well I think my problem is solved. Taking Cill Chainnigh's suggestion I tried to find some alternative options while I was out of town on Business. While I did find the Alcad II line at a Book/Hobby/Gaming store they didn't have gold. But they did have a whole host of gold colors in ...

Re: Stripping acrylic paint
Hello Starmanmm: Try "Strip a Kit", its probably the best paint stripper I have ever used. I'm about to send in an order for two more bottles. Take a look at this link; http://www.hangar3.com/sak.htm Good Luck DarKev Just started using an airbush and messed up my styrene kit with a very lo...

Hello Folks: A bit of Clarification. My consistency problem is between armor parts, not on a single armor part. This would be the third time I've stripped (thank the modeling gods for the guy that invented S.a.K.) the gold paint off the thing and tried the process again. I'm getting better but my co...

MG Hyaku Shiki; consistency is a witch!
Hello Folks :( Okay I am about to admit this to the world. I am about to give up. I was attempting to recreate the gold effect on a gold chrome stripped 1/100 MG Hyaku Shiki kit and I just can't get a consistent finish. Whoops let me back up a bit. I stripped the molded gold chrome off the kit parts...

Folks, what do you use to clean your airbrush???
Hello Folks
I was wondering what you folks use to clean your airbrushes after using Acrylic Paint. I'm getting tired of paying $5.00 for bottled brush cleaner. Anyone have a more cost effective solution??
Thanks
DarKev

Hey Big-Dog Yes, I guess your sort of right. Now that I have the Compressor/Tank combo it is. When I was using bottles at $10.00 a pop it wasn't. DarKev From the design of the Aztek line I wouldn't be surprised if a little air constantly leaks. If it doesn't affect the performance I wouldn't worry a...

Aztek A320 Airbrush Clogged (will not shut off) Help!
Hello Folks I seem to have a bit of an interesting problem. I have a Aztek A320 airbrush and it will not turn off. When you attach air (Bottle) or turn the air valve on (Compressor/tank) it lets out a small amount of air continously. The air amount is not enough to spray paint, but it still comes ou...

Airbrushing Transparent Green, a problem!
Hello Folks! I'm trying to create a Metallic Green effect for a Star Trek Model I am building and I running into a bit of an issue. I applied a coat of non-buffing aluminum to the model and let it dry and then airbrushed it with Tamaya Transparent Green. Well the Green collected in this "splotc...
