I too just got the Allumilite trial kit...(and used the 40% discount... :) ) I pour alot of resin at work....but was a little leary about trying it at home.....so I picked a few cool greeblie parts a gave it a try....I have to admit...much easier than I thought..... Lighting question

I'm going to try lighting a Finemolds Slave I....this is my first try at it.. Think I've got a plan for the cockpit area.....hope so anyway :roll: But any good ideas for the engine lighting??.....I'd like to use LEDs....but what is a good way to defuse the light to 'spred' it around nicely in the en...

Had to replace all the o-rings at some point in time Sdf-1...but mostly the one on the head...and the one that travels with the needle.... also...for your trigger...there is a couple of small rings in there if I remember right...there is a whole assembly you can buy that is just below the trigger......

How are they on parts kylwell.....I've have some Badgers....they work good...but I think I have replaced most if not all the parts in them...some several times over....esp. the heads....needles...and LOTS of O-rings....not fun

Pre-Shading Help

I've seen some of you guys talking about pre-shading...and even seen a few pics of models with it done on them...I'm going to give it a shot....wondering if I may get some help If you are going to be using a final color of a light gray..( say.. like on an X-wing)....what color should the pre-shading...

Thanks for the reply BALTA1...but the area to be painted is already on the ship...it would be hard to dip the whole thing

I was thinking of spraying it with future...will that get shiny enough??

Shiny Black?

I'm working of a ship at the moment..I'm going to paint the cockpit glass black...the tinted glass look Any tips for getting a real smooth, shiny, black finish on the paint job?? I've done this before with clear plastic ( just painting the back side black)...but this will be on just plain white styr...

I have an older 150.... Just wondering......how much the H-F airbrushes are?? How good are they...cause I have to buy parts all the time for my Badger...I can'nt really say it's worth what I paid for it...it has it's problems too...If these things are anywhere near as good...and the price is cheap.....

Yep....I've had it dry out.....and even seem to loose it's strenght..I wonder sometimes whats the lasting power in the long term for CA's??....anyone know....I use them alot in my building...do I have to look forward to parts flying off in the future??.. :roll:
