In one of those Carol Wright/ Dr. Leonard catalogs (mainly for older folks) is a meat tenderizer with a plate that retracts on srings like an Orion pusher plate. It might be good for an Orion base--with the spikes trimmed. Click for Link At my local store some large dome shaped bowls are available.

Over at WalMart I found the small light that go on your tires valve stem which blink. There are some nice air freseners that look like outsized, particle filled nacelle globes with an Leggs look at the back ther--and some generic mini light-sabers in blister packs for nacelles.

I would have liked to see small plastic replicas of actual flying rockets--a 1/1000 USS Atlantis TOS how 'bout a USS Atlantis Refit?!?! http://www.siriusrocketry.com/sirius00.htm A bit steep--and a bit big. Here are some suggestions. I went to Acadamy Sports and Outdoors and found interesting Ping-Pong balls and lightup Golf Balls. Several Rows over were plastic cones that could be warheads--and wide disks that were stumpy cones with a hole up top as wide as that liquid air-freshener in the auto dept.....

I've found that CA doesn't allow the fibers to flex. They become brittle at the glue joint, and the tension from the curved fiber trying to straighten itself out is enough to break it off. Some folks have recommended 5 minute epoxy, but as in your case, that wouldn't work for me. So I used hot glue...
