There's really no reason to lay out why it's crap, the fact is that Aztecs are crap. No line control, inconsistent spray patterns, constantly breaking and having to be sent back, clogging of the tips, too light of a body, etc, etc, etc. Several hundred comments about it being a POS is pretty conclus...

Images Do not post in-line images, regardless of their size. They count against our bandwidth, for one. Just as importantly, not everyone has a highspeed connection - and loading images only slows everything down for those on a dial-up. Instead, use a link to direct others to your images, like: http...

The retarder is a must for all of the Gunze enamels (or whatever they are). Their thinner helps, too. FOr cleaning I use lacquer thinner (cheaper). I couldn't get rid of the webbing until I used the retarder, now I never have the problem anymore. Proper cleaning of the surface to be painted is a mus...

Vaseline thinned with Naptha, not paint thinner. Naptha evaporates much faster. Still, I suggest the Mann's 800, it doesn't dry out the molds lke the vaseline/naptha mix does.

Unbaked Sculpy will attack plastic like liquid styrene cement, with much the same results. Boiling will warp the styrene parts in the time it will take to cure the sculpy. What you wanna do is make the part removable from the plastic, bake it, then glue it back on. A little SmoothOn universal releas...

That's not silicone, it's polyurethane. You could use it, but the molds would have to have a good layer of releaser on them to use urethane resin in them. If the resin touches the mold without releaser, it'll be stuck to it forever. I use polyurethane rubber for my pot seals, and even with releaser ...

Use Ambroid's ProWeld. It'll glue ABS to styrene, styrene to styrene,ABS to ABS, and even works with acrylic. Dries super fast too. I decant it into a Mr. Cement bottle, I've had way too many spills over the years when it's in the original tall bottle. The Mr. Cement bottles are short, square bottle...

I'd add that when you spray them, be ready for a deluge of paint. You can empty a can in about 1 minute if you aren't careful, and flooding the paint on is a problem you must be careful of. Start the spray from at least a foot and a half away from the surface of the model and adjust until you get th...

Overtightening, clogged tips that cause the needle to split them up the side, ...
