You don't need to seal these paints but they take finger prints like crazy if you don't. Just my two cents.

You should have a quality set of side flush cutters. These will leave little of the fret on the PE piece. Also some good files to remove the the rest of the fret and finish the piece off. Be very careful cutting smaller pieces as they love to fly into that modeling black hole that surronds everyones...

The best way I can describe the light output of lightsheet, lightwire, etc. is the equivelant colored glow from a computer screen

I would suggest also trying a layer of clear dull coat. If not sanded evenly (which I tried) you will see it when lit. I used dull coat sprayed into a cup and then brushed it on the LEDs for my War Machine. It gives the lense a frosted look which diffuses the light. It worked great.

I use a basic butane powered soldering iron for most work. It's about the size of a fat marker. I find it heats up faster than a plug in pencil type and definately gets hot enough for my soldering needs. The downside is you have to fill it with butane for lighters. The other upside is it's cordless ...

I use an old stiff tooth brush on my metal files and toothbrush and warm water on my sanding pads. Works for me. And it does depend on what it is your filing or sanding.

Not sure if you would want to use LED's for the thrusters. LED's project their light outward in a cone. They project very little light to the sides. I don't think the LED would light up the whole inside of the engine nozzel. You would probably be better off using an incandescent bulb in a socket (Ma...

Good deal. Here's a soldering tip. Keep a damp sponge handy while soldering. Periodicaly wipe the tip on the sponge to remove excess solder. This helps the tip stay clean and hot. I have to make a new base for it but I just finished rewiring my BOP over the weekend. I built this when it first came o...

I seconed that on the 150. I have had mine for about 8-9 years and it will do just about anything. Great brush. Good luck with your decision.

I did this to my BOP years ago. It looks good too. I used 4 reds for the engines, 1 red for the tube, and 2 to light up the interior. I cut out the windows and filled them with white glue. The reds I bought were in a multi pack from Radio Shack. I think the 2.0 mcd are going to be pretty dim. I woul...
