I bought a set of full sheets,(assorted colors) if 10 x 13 counts as full. They do come bigger. I planned to cut them down to the needed size for portions of the model. As an example, I planned to use white LEDs but yellow gel for the E's reaction thrusters and red gels with white LEDs again for imp...

Anyone ever glue Lighting gels to plastic?

I'm thinking of using Lighting gels in a few builds and was wondering if anyone knew what kind of glue or adhesive would bond the lighting gel to the plastic without damaging the gel.

Thanks

PIC chips or Arduino. Both will allow you to program the effects that you want. I have not used either so perhaps others here will chime in. From what I have read, Arduino is easier to learn and PICs are cheaper.

nav lights if we are talking green, red and white are about 1 second on and off. Strobes, bridge, nacelles and bottom of secondary are a fraction of a second, flashing 2 to 3 times per second. Start in around 1:18 of clip from tmp, leaving drydock.

Depends on whether there are 4 color bands or 5 on the resistor. The chart that you provided the link to shows 5 bands at the bottom and 4 at the top example. For 150 ohms with four bands, you would want brown, green, then brown as a multiplier of 10 and tolerance doesn't matter as we already have a...

12V= 4 LEDs usually. Many red LEDs are rated for 1.8V though. So you would need 6 LEDs in series at least with a resistor if you are using red. Most of the other colors, or white are around the 3.2V range usually, so 4 then. Check the specs for the LED.

Krylon Fusion - has anyone hear used it?

It's suposed to be ok for most plastics and is a primer and paint in one.

Since it has a primer in it, would you fill seam on the bare model plastic and then apply the krylon?

Not needed, but thanks for the offer. I'm ok for the short term I've got 5 ft. of red and black that I bought off ebay last year. I will need more in a few months and was trying to plan ahead. Nothing on ebay now. Micro-tools may be the way I go.

I wanted to get a substantial amount in multiple colors if possible for wire wrapping/soldering projects. where to find 32 awg stranded wire?

I checked the pinned suplies post but couldn't find what I needed. I haven't done well with google finding a couple of places that will sell 5 or 10 feet for $5 to $8 dollars.
