I have been scratchbuilding my own designs rather than copy an existing one so it allows me to be totally freestyle with selecting materials. Is there any topics on the forum dedicated to ones own designs? Yup, go with what the LT said! And welcome aboard fellow Antipodean! Only been back into mode...

You might want to try Lasse Henning ("StarWars Scratchbuilder" on this site), he lives in your neck of the woods! Well, Norway, at least.

Solvent glues should give you the strongest styrene-to-styrene bond as they literally dissolve the styrene at the bond sites & cause the two pieces to become one when they dry. thus you have a single piece of styrene. The other glues are more likely to separate over time as they bond to each sur...

PetarB, do you know of any Aus-local suppliers or do I need to buy on-line?

I like Pat's stamp/buck idea; any shape you want, any surface profile you want, any depth you want & no having to prise it out of the Aves when you're done. Too cool!

So, I've had to go with Squadron white & green putty (at least they're better than Tamiya white putty ).

I've been using Milliput & white putty, so far, but my latest builds aren't liking them too much.

Think I know where I can get some... Tomorrow... Hope so, anyway.

Don't know if it"ll do what you're looking for but [on Kylwell's tip in another thread] I've just downloaded Google SketchUp. It's 3D CAD & free [SketchUp Pro costs, though].
