I've not used my AB, an Eclipse HP-CS is a while, and it's not spraying in a sooth manner; it's rat-at-tat tatting as it sprays, machine gun style.

Any suggestions?

Very nice, Butters! :)   I particularly like the bomb on the port-side ... I'[d guess deployment is to release the holding straps, turn sharply to starboard, and try to un-a$$ the area before detonation ... :) Very Orcish! :) It's actually a 'dumb' rokit! It's got a n...

Awright... well, it's time for more pictures. I finally found some batteries with juice in them! Well, I'm done with most of the building; I still have figures and stowage, not to mention painting and such to go. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v114/BillyBlackCloud/DSCF0289.jpg http://img.photobuc...

Actually, I'm loving this build; everything seems to be (for the most part) falling into place & behaving itself. You should see the quad-barrel gatling gun I've bashed for the commander's cupola! :D (Soon, folks! Soon!)
Mmmmmm.....quad-barrel gatling gun. :rifles:

Happy!

Well, around the turret I needed them to be a bit orderly since I wanted it to be able to rotate, and plates sticking out would snag a bit. As for glass-smoothness, that's on the air skirt and I do need it to simulate rubber skirting. Oh, it'll have patches and such, but I prefer to do alot of slopp...

Still no batteries. I'm sorry. Truly, I shouldn't even post if I don't have pics, I know that, truly I do. Anywhoo, this has been a constructive week, tank-wise. The blessed Aves has made all the difference!! [-o< The lower hull is scribed and somewhat detailed, though it needs more; I've bee...

fortunately, in this build, there is no Aves/styrene interface. No lines transfer across that boundry. The Aves scribed amazingly well. I did most of it with razor saw but some with a scriber and straight edge. Now, it's not perfect (it is my first real Aves experience) but since it's for an Ork veh...

Well, lot's of progress, but no pictures. :( My camera needs new batteries. I did indeed get all the sanding done! Used a palm sander and finished off with sanding blocks, handheld sanding paper, and finally steelwool. I cannot believe how smooth and perfect the surface feels! It feels like polished stone. Can Aves be scribed? Or will I need to 'saw' it with a razor...

Well, I tried my Aves Sculpt for the first time today. It's waaaay better than the paste. Easier to work with, and the ability to add alcohol and control it is a Godsend. I did create a new term however: Aves Panic. This occurs when you made slightly too much annd you run through the house hunting f...

That is what led me to adding water, alcohol etc just to try to find a way to spread it. Mixed, striaght out of the tubs, it's thoroughly unworkable. And I might add, it put me off Aves and further Aves purchases for over a year.

Well, I bought some Aves Putty from the SM Store. I've not used it yet, but I think I'm done with Aves Paste. A long time ago, I added some water to both A and B parts to (hopefully) add some spreadability to it. However, I've since learned that I should have used the 90%+ Alcohol to thin it....

I agree with the esteemed Doctor. Of your two choices, i like 1:35. If you had the figures for it, 1:48 would make it a MBT instaed of a light tank. 1:72 just looks ridiculus.

So I take it pretty much everything on there is custom made? Well, the hatch, gun detailing and rocket body are mostly Games Workshop findings from the local gamer shop bitz box. The engines are obvious and came from a second-hand toy store and the rest is urethane foam, .020 and .040 styrene, drai...

Thanks, Brian. :D This may amuse some of you... Then again, maybe it wont... Anyway, I'm struggling with the scale of this thing! Should it be my favourite scale for AV's, 1/35th, or should it be a huge beast in 1/72nd, or maybe go the middle ground & try 1/48th? I want to add crew in the comma...
