That I can answer :) ! Smooth-On makes a variety of mold
releases-the Ease-Release line is what came with my starter set, and it does very nicely keeping the ooMoo from sticking to itself. Here's the
catalog pagefor those products.

I've used what I think is a Chopper I and the X-acto mitre box. Both have
their uses, but for what you're talking about, the cut-off tool might be the
best way to go. The mitre box is only good for 45 degree angles, and its
not as precise as it could be...

Most Hobby shops will carry something called an accelerator (Sp?) for super-glue. It speeds the cure time of superglue considerably. One other thing about building resin kits is to wash the parts before assembly with warm soapy water. This will clean most mold release agents and improve adhesion of ...

Superglue (cyanoacrelate) and epoxy. I have only very limited experience with the latter, and really don't care for it. A good gap
filling superglue should work for most purposes. What are you building?

For what its worth, Kenny, I've used the stuff as well, though in a
different way-I have decal sheets in my collection going back more than
thirty years, and the Microscale stuff is an excellent way of preserrving old decals-one coat and they don't explode on contact with water.

Andrew, would you have a link to that article? I've had moderate success

sounds like a good way to go.

One minor tip-before you attach the plastic sheet to the wood, 'rough up'
the mating surface of the styrene sheet with some heavy grit sandpaper-
this will give the epoxy a better surface to 'grip' as it were...
