Double actions are for people who can't figure out how to get the best out of a single action. For mechanical subjects like cars, planes, robots, spaceships etc. this is true, in fact I'd be hard pressed to think of a reason one would consider a double-action at all for these. However it's D...

For tools check out Harbor Freight. Also the Badger 350 is a great easy to use beginner's airbrush, this is from a beginner. You will not believe the results you get. Double actions are for people who can't figure out how to get the best out of a single action.

Would it be worth one of us buying one and sending it your way, or do they tax you guys to death at the border? Scottie If you're talking about the compressor, many thanks, I actually got a Silentair Scorpion 1 a coupla years ago. Made in the US, so no duty. As for the C-H compressors, still be a H...

Dude, any moron can use an airbrush, There's no sagely wizzdom involved, and compressors are cheap, 50 bucks for a little one at Wally World. Wanna go real inexpensive? Check out Harbor Freight. You know I only ever bought 1 can of air. While the price of a compressor wasn't easy to swallow, at 12 bucks a can in Canada it was also pretty easy to justify. BTW, I have NEVER seen the $50 or $100 C-H compressors in a Canadian WalMart. They carry Coleman compressors, and the cheapest is $300 IIRC.

From the design of the Aztek line I wouldn't be surprised if a little air constantly leaks. If it doesn't affect the performance I wouldn't worry about it. Air's cheap dude. I have air leaks (minor) in Aztek and Badger brushes, don't affect the performance.

And it smells nice! :D Seriously, you can get Badger 350 carded from Dixie Art for somink like 30 bucks, a Campbell-Hausfeld 1 gallon compressor from WalMart for 50. 80 bucks and you got a great little airbrushing combo. Add a 7 or 8 dollar plastic tote for a spray booth, believe me, you will NEVER ...

You can get liquid mask at WalMart, at least you could in Canada. Be worth looking for, lots cheaper, and the same stuff.

For tiny bubbles (in the wine) I'd try the Tamiya putty / nail polish remover trick. Wish I'd known about it before I did that Sandman gun. That way you can avoid sanding and thus opening up a fresh batch of bubble, which is what happened to me.

I think you went a wee tad too thick boyo. You need to apply putty in a series of thin layers, otherwise you get what you got. I'd punch it out and start again. With Squadron, Tamiya, Testors? Nope. I use Bondo spot putty from any department store (Walmart here). While it don't remove with acetone (...

I shall try thinning with water, be nice to have a cheap paint for priming, just the undercoating, think I'll stick with Tamiya for top coating. Then Future of course. Thanks for the info.

I thinned with isopropyl alcohol. Seemed to spray out in little spatters rather than a clean line. I used a Badger 350, which'll spray just about anything. Even Testors Acryl aint bad. Plus, it took forever to clean that gunk out of the brush.

Yesterday I tried to spray Apple Barrel craft acrylic. From what I've read here those are supposed to be better than Delta. Well, it sucked. Spit out so bad, crappy coverage. I'm sticking with Tamiya.

Future's great, I shot straight from the bottle. cheap as chips. Great as a barrier between coats, especially when weathering.

I know a lot of people will disagree with me, but one of the best things I ever bought was my Badger 350, single action-external mix airbrush. It is so easy to use, and for anything other than weathering I've not needed the double action. The fine tips are great for, well, fine painting, and you can...

A lot of brands have a cleaner in them, these all in one type deals. Clean and finish in one go. Future has a separate cleaner, so the floor finish is just water based liquid acrylic. I've always heard to use the real thing.

I just used it straight from the bottle through a Badger 350, Silentaire Scorpion compressor, had no problems at all. Went on to form a great gloss coat, then finally with flat base for a nice satin finish. The adger 250 is designed to spray huge amounts of paint, very high volume and thick stuff. I...

The 'perfect' exercise, apparently, is roller blading. Since this is a road version of ice skating I'd say skating should be a great exercise.
