Ok, here's the latest: I cleaned this thing as much as I am aware of without completely stripping it down (removed everything in front down to the needle) with simple green, undiluted and it's bubbling worse than before; it won't even pass water now. There was some crud on the tip of the needle, but...

Airbrushing beginning help... Please!
I just spent the past 3 hours trying to get my Paasche VL to work. I was able to get distilled water to flow for a few minutes, but nothing else. No color, no paint no nothing. The jar under the brush is bubbling everytime I engage the brush. HELP! I am so angry and frustrated right now I am ready t...

Do acrylics work with other paint types?
I was told at my LHS that I could use any primer (Enamel, Lacquer, Etc.) for acrylic and that acrylic paint would stick to any paint underneath. I found this information highly suspect and would like to hear from the people here, who have far more experience with these paints than I do, if this is a...

Washing a kit with REALLY hard well water help
I live out in the middle of nowhere and we are on a well. The water is harder than granite and almost always feels like there is residue after washing dishes or stepping out of the shower. I know you should wash a model kit before construction to get any oils off, but using my water I'm afraid I'll ...

Can resin be drilled?
Hello and I hope I'm not repeating another thread (I did look). Can resin be drilled? I have the alliance battlestar galactica and there are some large blobs of resin obstructing where the parts are supposed to be connected (and a blob obscuring one landing bay) and if I can drill them out or fix th...

Wash or not wash sheet styrene?
I know that before I start working on a model out of the box, I should wash it first to remove all the oils and solvents used to remove it from its mold. Should I do the same thing when I purchase sheet styrene for scratch building? Thanks!

Tempature Limits for styrene help please?
No, I know this stuff melts easily. :) What I am asking for is lower limits and effects? Let me explain: I live in southeastern Michigan, where Winter comes with avengence (although it's not too bad right now). I am living at my parents house while I try and get my business up and running (I am a li...

Help getting started with airbrushing, please?
Hello all! After a pause of over 15 years, I am starting to get back into building starships. I am trying new things and different materials and one of the things I want to use is an airbrush. However, I have absolutely zero clue as to how to get started. I have read may recommendations about what t...
