Just mist, and fly the craft through the mist. But, you MUST make the appropriate "whoosh" sound as you go. I do.
Ok I'll remember that part.

That seriously works?! I always completely coated the model with Dullcote after pastels.

Yeah, but it's either the paint or it's in the paint. I used Floquil primer with Testors MM over top. I wonder if those two paints had a bad reaction for some reason? If that was the reason though, it be on the entire model.

It's just one color being sprayed. The pressure is right (15psi) and the paint seems to be thinned correctly because these areas are the only places this is happening. It's not sticky or anything, but you do need to use fine sandpaper to get it off.

Weird paint problem help me figure it out!

I wish I had a picture of this, but I've got what looks like dust on my paint job, but it's not dust. My first guess would be it's paint that dried before it hit the surface, but it's in areas where overspray isn't likely to hit it. It's mostly in tight areas. Check this picture of the model: http:/...

Sparky's right. IF you wipe or buff down to just where you see the filler in the holes, you've gone too far. The goal is to build a shell over the area and buff it smooth. I find it best to do an entire area up to a panel line or natural break. If none exists, then buff the edges (far from the prob...

Kestrel shuttle pinholes! Help!

I'm building the B5 Kestrel shuttle model and around the sides where the mold seam was I sanded it smooth. Now I have thousands of pinholes. I tried using Mr. Surfacer 500 and built a up about four coats to where I thought the pinholes were filled, then wiped the excess off with lacquer thinner. It ...

Testors drying time between coats?

I tried search for this, so I apologize if it is there somewhere and I missed it.

Anyway how long do you have to wait between coats (of the same color) with Testors MM enamels? I thought you could put on another coat within three or four hours, but a friend insists you have to wait 12 hours.

Thanks! That page helps a lot. I'm definitely gonna test it out first because I've never used Alclad II before.

I'm having problems with that red Testors stuff. I fill sand, then yell "Damn!" Fill, sand, "Damn!" Then repeat. So I'm thinking my SW contest entry won't get finished in time. I'm gonna try some of the stuff suggested too.
