I don't use thin CA, ever. I have had a few isolated problems with the gap-filling variety, but usually it behaves. For photo-etched parts I put a drop of the thick stuff on a piece of plasticard and gently run the part's edge along the drop. If too big a droplet of CA clings to the part, the edge o...

Less than Super OStrich has a possible answer for you.
I, for my own part, have never heard of "acrylic laquer," and so had no useful input.

For smaller subjects like my BattleTech figures, I've used cotton fibers to decent effect. Pull apart a cotton ball and glue it in place with white glue. If you're really delicate you can paint sections of the cotton. It's not perfect, but it's not difficult either.

Tenax doesn't work for me. 'Stuff's carcinogenic garbage in my book. Testor's liquid (bottle) and semi-liquid (black squeeze container) work nicely. Superglue sets up quickly, but the joints can be very fragile. If there's a large seam that needs to be glued (such as the lower hulls of my Yamato s) ...

I used to have good results thinning Tamiya paints with saliva, but that was for hair-brushing. Their brand of airbrush thinner does work very well, even through my cheap Aztek. It's not that much more expensive than a bottle of Windex.

I've been using plain old Testor's dull coat for years. It's nothing special but it worked well enough. Lately, though, I've been displeased with its results when applied to very small models and miniature ships. It seems to have a feathered surface now.

There should be a Mr. Thinner of at least one sort. Given how many Mr. products there are, I would not be surprised to see #11 blade-sized bandages marketed as Mr. Kuso.

I'm back. 'Got distracted by various fluff. 'Not ordered in time for the contest (particularly since I've never tried to wade through picture-sending procedure here), but I'll get around to ordering anyway.

I thought the line was "At the same time?" Either way, amusing. How does one go about ordering models specifically for the competition? I tried out the order function last night and didn't notice a section for comments. I'll get an Indomitable as well - it's interesting... as well as inexp...
