Or one self blinking LED in SERIES with several other LEDs. Just make sure that your supply voltage is slightly higher then the sum of the voltage requiements for all the LEDs. For example: SELF BLINKING LED - 3 VOLTS MARKER LEDs - 2 VOLTS EACH 1 SB LED + 3 MARKERS = 3 + 6 = 9 VOLTS TOTAL NEEDED Try...

Actors are important - but need to be entheusiastic about your project. Don't rush into production with lukewarm talent. Find people who really want to participate. Film production is a long hard process. Too many people will think it's a lark, fast and easy. It's not. (I used to work in the T.V. co...

"Never give up! Never surrender!"

That's a good start, Keep Going! The only thing that can truely stop you is giving up.

Don't.

Are you going with film or digital video? Each has advantages and drawbacks.

I have here several LED displays here that have been powered up and running continuously since the middle 1970's. I'd say that LEDs - operated a bit below their average ratings - are quite reliable. If operated slightly below "typical" ratings you should not have a problem with series circ...

You can flatten the domed end of your 3 mm LED and superglue the clear model part to it, using the model part as a "light pipe". You can also shorten the LED itself as long as you don't damage the actual LED crystal or the TEEEENY little gold wire that bridges between the top of the crysta...

Hi, Redfern! Colour change LEDs are kind of expensive at the moment, but the chain of LEDs in bugs sounds like a good set at a good price. Except for that whole "Embedded in bugs" thing. I'd just buy a few colour change LEDs to start with, although I'd probably start with this set from the...

To light a model, all you need is: Power - like a BATTERY. A light - like ONE LED Often ONE RESISTOR Usually a SWITCH Some WIRE Stop. That's it. Really. You can get more complicated, but start there. KISS - Keep It Simple Soldier (as I learned in the Army). Once you've got a few simple kits lit, the...

If you just want a simple blinking light, try using a "SELF BLINKING LED". It's just an LED with a built in blinking chip. All you have to do is apply power ( usually 3 volts or 5 volts depending on the LED ) and the LED starts blinking. The self-blinkers come in all sizes from 3 mm to 10 ...

Methyl Ethyl Ketone (M.E.K.) is a sensitizer - exposure can make you lethally sensitive to M.E.K. fumes and liquid. I used to use it a lot as the hardener when I was doing resin casting. Now the fumes can literally choke the life out of me.

You might not want use it.

Many small straight cuts can make a rough curved shape. Then filing and sanding can smooth out the curve.

Slow? Yes.

But it works for thick stock.
